Emman Nimedez or Emman also known as Emmanuel Luis Nimedez, was a Filipino director, actor, YouTuber, and filmmaker famous for his short films, covers and most importantly parody videos. He was also seen in the video Luv U with actors Jairus Aquino and Michelle.
Emman’s Pinoy hip hop song ‘Teka Lang’ is the most streamed song on Spotify in the Philippines. Spotify launched 2020 Wrapped with new features including quizzes, badges, and stories.
According to Spotify’s Wrapped 2020, Eman was also named the fifth most-streamed Pinoy hip hop artist. Matthaios was first followed by Skusta Clee, ALLMOS$T, and Flow G.
The song ‘Teka Lang’ did not only peak the category under Hip Hop, but it was most streamed in the locals too by coming on the fourth number.
Magnus Haven’s “Imahe” topped the category, followed by “Make it with you” and “Pagtingin” by Ben&Ben. In fact, he took home the honor of being the country’s most-streamed artist of the year.
However, at the age of 21, he was diagnosed with acute myeloid Leukemia. After 3 days of battling with this critical condition, Eman lost his life due to leukemia on August 16, 2020. He was honored by Raiza Contawi in the Philippine segment of Youtube FanFest, 2020.
On the other hand, The band’s album “Limbasawa” was the third most-streamed album in the Philippines.
“Uuwian” was the last lyric video produced by him. He gained fame in the year 2017 for his parody of Korean dramas.
