Record-breaking Hit song “Rockstar” by DaBaby doing wonders worldwide

DaBaby or Jonathan Lyndale Kirk, who is an American Rapper from Charlotte, North Carolina, And 22-year-old Rodrick Wayne Moore who is professionally known as Roddy Ricch. He is also an American singer, rapper, and songwriter.

The hit song “Rockstar” By DaBaby released on April 17, 2020, featuring American Rapper Roddy Ricch. The song is written by two rappers and topped at number one on the US Billboard chart for seven consecutive weeks. The song also topped in many other countries like Canada, Australia, UK, etc. 

DaBaby released the remix of “Rockstar” a BLM ( Black Lives Matter) which replaced the intro with an extra verse of him. The song is released regarding the George Floyd protest that was started in May 2020 and their own experience with police brutality and abuse.

The song is directed by The Reels Goats, starts with a news channel reporting about George Floyd’s incident in the back while a black car is moving fast in a forest side area. The starting of the song is very intense and thrilling. Later, we see a shooting scene at a forest site and so on.

The video of songs has over 127 million views on YouTube with 2.6 million likes. The hit song became DaBaby’s first chart-topper and Roddy Rich’s second. He also became the first one to achieve two numbers in one single in the same year after Ed Sheeran did in 2017. The song has also spent 6 weeks at number one in both the United Kingdom and Australia and eight weeks on top on the Irish chart.

Roddy Ricch rose to fame in 2018 after his single “Die Young”, whereas DaBaby got fame in 2019 after his debut album “Baby on Baby”  which peaked at number seven on Billboard 200.
